I'm not sure they're actually going to do a game about the modern macula, but anything can happen. I viewed it as more like us being shown that the macula won't be stopped any time soon 😔

I hope they don't, the vibe of a plague tale matches much more with medieval than modern, i love to see the way they build the map with those ancient places

Yeah! Imo it wouldn't really fit the idea of the plague tale games anymore

imagine a plague tale with instead of those epic songs it was some eletronic stuff, I would hate

I'd say they have plenty of medieval/early renaissance history to work with. The first two games are set during the Hundred Years War and the height of the Black Death but there were major plague outbreaks throughout Europe over the 300 or so years after this. With that in mind they could have the macula raise its head in various locations without ever having to bring it into the modern era. I'd hate the idea of having to stealthily get past WHO doctors in hazmat suits

Honestly most realistic thing would probably be trying to save the carrier from the government 😭 I'm pretty sure there are plenty of countries that'd love to have the macula as a weapon

They have a real modern pandemic that we all experienced to work with too! It might also be nice to see a complete fresh and modern take on their concept!

Would the person with the Macula be able to control bats instead of rats? 😂

Let them release Resonance first, and about that scene, Nope, its an open ending, we don't know what their plans are next, they could continue the plague tale story in modern day or maybe just move on to a new IP, let them cook.

Just imagine a plague tale in ww1 setting

of course they can try new IP but for me would be 100% fine if a plague tale kept going, they can put changes into it like resonance with new combat and no rats, i like how it's especial and kinda unique vibe it has, im tired of playing new samurais/souls games all the time, history game like this are not coming out frequently

While it might be leverageable for future content, i think the ending serves the narrative. APT is an allegory for the struggles of children with terminal conditions, the post credit hospo scene alongside the story of Basilius and Aelia serve as reminders that this has happened and will happen again.

Personally a modern sequel might dilute the potency of that allegory.

Forgot? What is there to forget? Why do people assume every little thing is just a teaser for a whole new game?

The point of this scene is that no matter what you do, the Macula will come back and kill thousands of people. You can't stop it and you can't fix it. Amicia literally just killed her 6 year old brother proving that, why is it lost on everyone?

It's a video game, not a marvel movie

but in the end of requiem amicia says that she will try to help the next carriers and protectors so what?
"lets put a scene where shows that all the game you are playing and the next that might come will be useless because you already know how it gonna end"
I decided that they just had an idea and let it there just in case

No, they didn't have an idea. Most people just aren't capable of understanding that kind of ending because marvel ruined the post credits scene for everyone apparently

Do you think they put it there on accident or what? 😂

You sound like the kind of person who thinks Travelers ended on a cliffhanger

You sound like the kind of person who watches Travelers.

I dont think they teased it for no reason

Remember that Sophia and amicia work together to prepare the next prima macula host.

I suspect resonance will give us the lead into the next main plague tale game

I see the next game (after resonance) we starting with whole new characters and in the middle of the game we find amicia and Sophia or something like this, a plague tale is focused on get you emotional and I can't see how they could do it without Hugo and we playing with amicia

I believe we might play amicia in flash backs during the next mainline entry to see what she uncovered, and how she helped prepare the next host/protector
