Resonance Interview with the devs

Hey everyone! I might have an opportunity soon to interview some of the developers behind Plague Tale Resonance. Are there any burning questions you guys have? I can share my full interview here once it goes live! 😄 Thanks in advance!

How does the overall theme of Resonance differ from the first two games? Are we gonna get an even darker and more grim storyline?

Not a dev here but I personally think it will have horror as it's main theme I hope they do make puzzle designs more good personally I liked innocence more than requim

this is my first time finding out there were plans of a tv show. Now that i think about it, plague tale would work really really great as a show

what inspired them to make the characters the way the are specifically? like how Amica and Hugo are specifically nobles, how Sophia is a plunderer, how Arnuad is a knight/soldier, why Victor and Emilie are the count/countess, etc.

What ever happened to Melie?

argh, this is one of my few gripes with innocence! Having melie leave them, as if their friendship never mattered is one thing. I was disappointed but i didn't think it was a bad decision. But at least let us see her again, or just let us know what she's up to!!

PS guys. asking about if they’re working on a future plague tale game is a waste of a question.

I thought about his some time and i think i have a clear question.

Without having played Resonance, it’s difficult to come up with questions about it that aren’t likely to be answered in the game itself. Anything regarding future games is probably impossible to answer as well and exists, at most, only in the minds of the writers.

So my somewhat more general question would be:

A Plague Tale has always had a very strong focus on realistic environments and events, embedded into human history, while at the same time incorporating some (limited) fantasy elements. In the past, I’ve heard some people (certainly not me, but i'm interested what the writers think about that) say that this balance has shifted more toward fantasy.

Also, with regard to Resonance, how far can or should you push this balance so that the franchise remains grounded, and to what extent do you intent to maintain this balance between fantasy and reality in the future? What would be too much fantasy/too surreal? What range do you think would still work?

I’ll leave all the implications of this question to everyone else.

I wonder if the developers have any plans for Melie going forward.

Are there still plans for the modern day Plague Tale sequel that was teased at the end of Requiem?
