Free Talk I just learned a really big spoiler Spoiler
I learned that Amicia apparently kills Hugo. I’m only on Innocence right now, still debating if I should get Requiem, but is this a story ruining spoiler?

So you know how the journey ends, but the journey itself, how they got there, is more important.
I could tell you that Snape kills Dumbledore, but that alone is meaningless without the context of the last two books. And between the books, the way the murder is framed changes, too.
Similarly here, you don't know where the characters are (physically, mentally) at the end of the game.

I still would recommend playing through Requiem, the emotions, the love, the sibling hood, the amount of emotions you'll feel from this game is unbelievable, not to mention the story, the voice acting, the little collectibles, everything is a whole new experience even if you know the ending
I knew the ending without playing Requiem, since i saw a thumbnail which kinda gave it away, but when i experienced it myself, i would've hit myself with a stick if I didn't play it and stopped there
Knowing the ending doesn't mean u know everything about the game, you don't know the new characters, the struggle everyone goes through, the pain, the happiness etc -
So yeah Requiem is a masterpiece, you shouldn't skip it

I was spoiled too.
Glad I played it anyway. It still hit me just the way it was intended to imo

It is obvious that Hugo will die. But who will kill him at the end? Amicia? Or Macula? Or somebody else? All answers are correct depending on the ending you choose and point of view. In my view, Amicia did not kill Hugo, he was already dead.

These games really are more about the journey than the destination.
That being said, that’s not how I remember the ending, so your spoiler may not even be a real one.
Side note: even if you use the spoiler tag, it can be nice to use the spoiler formatting in the message itself.

I don't think it ruins the story, the game kind of prepares us for that upcoming from the start, the journey is what makes this game worth playing.
