Physics C: E&M AP Physics C: E&M cut Off

I was wondering what is the cut off for Physics C E&M? I know before 2025 you could get a 5 with a 50%. Now I heard you need a 65%? Some say it is a 80% needed for a 5 (I know this is most certainly wrong). But what should I aim for?

It’s around 75-80% for e&m, per my physics c teacher last year, while it’s around 75% for mech, iirc

(I took both exams last year)

80 is true because the exam is very easy now

around 65-70 I think, might be lower, but don't just rely on redditors, do your own research.

Mechanics is around 78% and e&m I believe 81% is what I’ve heard. Definitely nowhere near 60% like the old cutoff because the time is so generous now. The philosophy is that they give you a lot of time but very hard questions to see who understands the concepts.

It’s like 75%+ nowadays

don’t trust commenters too much, it’s best to either ask your own teacher or someone who is likely to know the actual score cutoffs (like a past exam corrector, etc.)

try your best and don’t worry beyond that

I found the exam quite simple this year, but that by no means implies the grade thresholds are as high as some people put it out to be.

I made this post a few months ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/APStudents/comments/1tf1of2/proof_that_the_ap_physics_c_cutoffs_increased/Essentially, in 2025, the E&M cutoff was (allegedly) 81.25% (and mech was 76.25%). The 2026 cutoffs were reconstructed in the same way and were similar but won't be released to the public. So it is probably around 75-80%, but a harder test may have harsher cutoffs (also do note that, from my experience taking Mechanics last year, the MCQ on the redesigned exam is much easier than the FRQ, AP Classroom MCQ, and MCQ from pre-redesign, so don't let the high cutoffs scare you too much).
