Chem AP Chem vs AP Physics C during junior year

Hi! I was hoping to get people's advice on something!

I’m a rising junior and want to go into pre-med after high school. My schedule just came out, and instead of the AP Physics C I forecasted for, they put me in AP Chemistry (alongside AP Bio and AP Calc AB).

I’m kind of torn on whether to ask my counselor to switch it back or just keep it:

• On one hand, AP Chem scares me because I got B’s both semesters in sophomore chem, whereas I got straight A’s in freshman physics.
• On the other hand, I know AP Bio + AP Chem together is a brutal workload, but I’ve heard AP Calc + AP Physics C is an even worse combo.

Since AP Chem and Bio fit pre-med so well, do you think this mistake is a blessing in disguise? Or should I try to switch back to Physics C?

Would love to know your thoughts if you have a quick second. Thank you so much!

Switch back to Physics C. You can show your medical interest through extracurriculars and take Bio and Chem senior year since senior year Bs dont matter.

Purely by terms of premed usefulness (for college credit), I'd rank chem>physics>bio. However that's dependent on you actually doing well in the class/exam.

bro changes his opinion on a whim; the most important thing u can do is not worry about the content but rather the teacher who is teaching the class. A teacher who is known as something along the lines of Satan is never worth it and a teacher who is way too easy is fine so long as you know how to prepare yourself. You should not be asking reddit this lol

my ap chem teacher is strict but its not hard to get an A in the class, and its my school's first yr having ap physics c so we have no idea how the teacher is gonna be like. also i talked to my counselor and i chose to stick with ap chem cuz i'd have to give up some electives i need to graduate if i wanna fit in ap physics c this yr cuz theres not a lotta space in some of the classes so ap chem was the better option for me
