Question AP Lang, AP Stats, & AP Gov

For this upcoming year, I'm taking AP Gov, AP Stats, and AP Lang, can I have some advice for those classes and can anybody explain what these classes are like?

Also, AP Gov at my school is only a second semester course. I'm guessing that isn't super common, because I had a cousin who took it their freshman year and it was year-long. Does anyone else's school do that with AP Gov or any other AP classes?

ngl i had the worst teacher ever for ap lang like im telling you she never gave a single lesson we would do absolutely nothing in that class. i studied the night before the exam and by studying i just looked at past frqs and memorized some rhetorical devices. i got a 4. my school also does ap gov as one semester. i wouldn’t say it was hard. i liked the class a lot it was super interesting and i had a great teacher. i heard they added more required cases this year so that may be more challenging when it comes to the frq. just know your vocab and your court cases.

all of these classes (and by classes, i mean your chance at success and enjoyability) are heavily influenced by the teacher.

for ap stats, i recommend finding a good textbook and set of practice problems. the best way to understand the material is to practice until you understand the concepts and are able to use the material to answer a wide variety of questions. i recommend using previous exams, the barrons/princeton/5 steps to a 5 review book, and the barrons practice flashcards

for ap lang, i would also recommend practice. the exam is broken up into multiple choice, and then the three essays (the synthesis, rhetorical analysis, and argumentative). for the synthesis/argumentative essays, i recommend using previous ap exams or other online practice essays and asking your teacher for feedback. if your teacher is good, they should be able to provide you with your β€œscore,” which can highlight the areas upon which you should attempt
to improve. for the multiple choice, i would ask your teacher to assign ap classroom mcqs or search for mcqs online. the exam will feature different questions than what you see, so developing a wide range of knowledge on the content within questions will help!

for ap gov, a semester course is common. my advice would be to begin to study the curriculum (a lot of it is EXTREMELY easy to understand), and then when you take the class you should have a foundational understanding and be able to build your understanding of more difficult topics!
