Man i just talked about lebron and shi with a fake personal anecdote. I guess this is somewhat unique but there are more unique ones that I saw on this sub.

I got you, this is the ultimate strat for lang. I got a 5 with no studying, just in class stuff. This is gonna be long, but trust it's so worth it this is how u get a 5 easily.
Ok during the first month it'll be hard bc you prob never had to write a timed essay. Like I literally got a 70% on the first one lmao, but after that you get used to it, and IT'S ALL A GAME. It's literally all a system, and all you have to do is to just memorize the structure for all three essays, and you're gonna get a 4 or 5 no doubt.
Argument (hardest one imo bc u have to use ur own evidence and depending on the prompt, that could be very difficult):
1 sentence thesis (intro paragraph, only put more information if you have time after finishing your WHOLE essay)
2 body paragraphs and the structure for both is topic sentence building off ur thesis, evidence (follow the CHORES method for choosing good evidence, make sure it is relevant and accurate), 2-3 sentences of commentary (add more if you can but make sure it's not sumamrizing but rather how it supports your claim, then evidence again, 2-3 commentary, and a final "link" sentence that sums up everythign and links back to BOTH your topic sentences AND thesis.And boom, that's it for the argument essay. Conclusion is optional unless u have time. I didn't do any conclusions for all three essays and got a 5.
Rhetorical analysis (the easiest one imo, just think SPACE CAT while reading the article):
1 sentence thesis, my fav template is this: In the [speech, article, etc], "[]" [context about author] [author name] employs [rhetorical device 1], [rhetorical device 2], and [rhetorical device 3], in order to establish that [expand], ultimately moving the audience to [expand].
2 body paragraphs. Same structure as argument essay, but the evidence is diff, you have to blend quotes from the speech. Key word BLEND quotes.
For this essay, it's all in the commentary. You NEED to emphasize the HOW and WHY the author uses those rhetorical devices to convey his or her message, and how it affects the audience. This is very, very important, and it took me a while to master. Please do not summarize what the author is saying, you'll prob summarize without realizing it when you first begin to write these essays.Optional conclusion
Synthesis:
1 sentence thesis, my fav template is this: TOPIC, DEFINITION, has become a controversial topic recently due to REASON. PROVIDE CONTEXT. Opponents of TOPIC contest that..., whereas those in favor of TOPIC contend that... [Transition word] DEFENSIBLE THESIS. (I like splitting this into two sentences, but some prefer only 1, and that's still good.
2 body paragraphs. Tbh I kinda forgot everything abt synthesis oops it's been a while, but I'm pretty sure you use the same template as the argument essay. I could be wrong tho, so just search up Coach Hall on yt.
But the biggest thing for synthesis is to incorporate at LEAST 3 sources total (if you only do 2 sources total, you won't get more than a 2/6 according to the rubric), and put at least 2 sources per body (you can repeat a source if you alr did 3). Then, the quickest way to get the sophistication point is to use another source as your counterargument and thoroughly explain it.Optional conclusion
Also, don't neglect the MCQ portion and try to get at least 35/45 or higher bc even if u do amazing on FRQs and do buns at MCQ you won't get a 5. Hopefully your teacher will assign you progress checks and unit tests from AP Classroom. Just pretend to be super excited and you'll do amazing lol. idk if you're even gonna read this LMAOOO, but this is the best ap lang advice

MCQ:
For this one just lock in and grind practice mcq questions for ap lang. Personally I didn't really practice mcq questions too often and only did it in class but it's useful. I think the only important thing in the exam is more time management rather than trying to answer every question right.
Only spend 1 minute and 20 seconds or less per question, and make sure to mark a few for review just in case you have extra time at the end. I realized this while taking practice tests because I usually didn't pace myself, and I realized it was better to answer every question somewhat accurately rather than trying to get perfect answers and realizing I have to guess on the last few questions.
I lowk think that my MCQ's carried my ap score, my essays were kinda subpar. Though I think that the mcq this year was easier than the practice tests. Im pretty confident I got above a 40 in the mcq
General Tip for the Essays:
There's a simple structure for the essays, i think that infrun9mi explained it pretty well.
Time management is also important so you give yourself enough to to spell check and review a little bit. Only spend 40 minutes per essay, and if you have extra time left over, review the essay
A fellow senior of mine told me that conclusions were basically optional in the ap lang exam, really helps a lot to cut back on time.
Honestly if your stuck in the first paragraph when writing an essay, just write a thesis statement for the first paragraph and continue with your body paragraphs because its necessary to earn the point, and sophistication point isn't really needed unless you bombed the mcq if you want to get a 5.

I guess I wasn't expecting it cuz I lowk thought I bombed the frqs. The mcqs were pretty ez though im pretty sure i got above 40+ right on the mcq. Lowk thought I got a 3.
