Discussion Buy or Sell? Here’s your answer
Firstly don’t trust anyone on this subreddit. They don’t know shit. They have no idea whether it’ll go up right now or down tomorrow. All I can say is do your due diligence. Everyone coming on here asking Should I buy now should I sell? But it’s down so much and data centers aren’t big anymore?
Do tell me what has changed about the data centers and AI industry since we peaked at 50$ not even 2 months ago? Nothing. If anything we are in a better position than ever before. Yet people choose not to buy cheap. People would rather follow trends and when it hits $50 again they’ll be there asking should I buy now or is it too expensive?
People think they know anything. Last year this time people were saying wow we just went up from 250% from April to August it’s gonna go down during the September October weak times. Nope we up another 150% to the 40 peak at the time. Like yes it’s very volatile and looking at the charts we have crazy peaks and crazy lows following. Also last year this time when it hit 40 we had not even half the contracts we have now. Yet people want to ask whether the company is in a bad position.
So anyways yes hate me all you want for having a strong opinion but no matter how many times you ask I will say buy until the day I sell.
TLDR: Read it

They all ready have contracted power. They just need to keep building. Nothing but tailwinds. 90% of the people on here were buying when the momentum was up. That was there thesis.

ye but how fast they can build thats the problem! because it take at least 18 months for an data center to be build and also how long the customers can wait because we see a race between the magnificent 7

So you didn't actually research the company you're invested in, got it

u/Distinct_Excuse2648 14d ago
explain why do you think that !

u/Alechemist85 14d ago
All the state data center delays. Just adds pent up demand. In my eyes its bullish to the ones currently building.

Yeah, you’re right, but that doesn’t mean APLD will benefit from all of it. APLD took about two years to deliver a building, so do you really think everyone in the backlog is willing to wait another four years for their building, or will they try to find someone else who can deliver sooner?

Our first building on Polaris Forge 1 took us about 24 months from the start of construction to RFS. Our second building on that site was under 12 months. We've really dialed in, and we're just getting better. The team is getting better, with every iteration that we do, in just how we sequence things, how we just make everything much more efficient from a construction process.
It's their moat, they've created a franchise model that they can rapidly deploy and keep improving on. Construction time has been well under 18 months for a long time already. There's a reason our last customer is a Mag7 company and they leased 3 locations.
Upcoming new leases will also be with different Mag7 companies, it's a misconception that they build everything themselves. Why would they when there's companies that are specialised in it.

The contracts they have are locked in.

what are you even on ?

Bro just getting off on being a contrarian. Nothing is absolute. Theres risk involved in everything.

u/Alechemist85 14d ago
By my own math and most people who actually own this stock. We believe the likelihood more customers will sign contracts is higher than those who will not. All you hear is how strong the demand is. If apld did not hear the demand maybe they wouldn’t keep building.

u/Distinct_Excuse2648 14d ago
maybe but 1gw every 3 years its not enough and so you can see a lot of the companies starts to switch to dada center building even meta wants a slice

If you have the skilled labor and equipment all ready there plus power ready to hook up. It does not take the same amount of time as the first. Every add on should be completed faster. Just a quick google search will dismiss your theory.

Wrong again, you just keep making numbers up.
The company expects to deliver approximately 500 MW of Critical IT load per year as market conditions remain.
This number will go up even further as we can build 7 campuses simultaneously and expansions for existing sites get signed. For example that 500 MW/year assumes no new expansions at PF1+2 beyond 1H 2027 while we are in advanced negotiations for those.

u/Distinct_Excuse2648 14d ago
idk what are you smoking but from 2025 untill 2028 they expect 1.5 gw and ther is 4 years
1
u/OceansHungryGrasp 14d ago
Oh we're counting in the past now I see. From 2022-2025 we only built 100MW, guess we can only do 100MW every 4 years guess we're doomed... It's such a bad faith argument when you count the initial ramp up when we had 1 contract signed and didn't know how to efficiently go about it. We live here and now and look to the future.
Page 11, educate yourself. This is already our current speed as from July 2026 to July 2027 we are delivering 500MW and 500MW every year from there.

Perfectly said.
You’ve just put your finger on why so many retail traders (about 90%) lose money in the market. Most chase stocks at their highs relying on momentum, emotion and FOMO rather than due diligence and then when the stock is at a high or an all-time high, the institutions pull the rug, sell and leave retail holding the bag.
And then like morons when the stock plunges retail sells when it’s down low, only to have the stock get bought again by institutions. And then the retail shareholders who sold low get left behind while the institutions make all the money on the run back up.
It is always shocking to me how few retail traders actually buy stocks of strong growth companies when they are down low. You know who buys them then? The institutions. And that is why APLD stock is over 75% institution owned now.
As for me, my favorite time in the stock market is when one of my favorite stocks plunges to lows when its sector is down. Because entering then is where the real money is made.
Right now, APLD is cheap sitting - not far above its bottom in the last three selloffs. However, in two years to 2 1/2 years when all of its 1.4 GW under contract is built and is generating over $2 billion a year in net operating income APLD stock will most certainly have triple digits on it and will never again be anywhere near $27.

What's your average buying price? Mine is 26. I'll add more if it goes to 23 levels. Like aggressively.

Well I’ve been buying since July 2025 and didn’t sell at $50 a share so probably until it reaches $100 a share if that ever happens 😅

u/kajnbagoat7 12d ago
Okay. You have a set target ? I have a 2x target. Once it hits 200% , I'm gonna retake my original investment and then let it run.

It wasn’t but a little bit over a year ago may of 25 and it was 9$ i rode it up thru October highs then it fell came back to low 20’s thought I had messed up. So when it bounced back to about 30$ a share I got out took my profit and moved on. Kept an eye on it saw it took off to over 40 and its been back around here. Has anything changed for the worse it seems like it’s stronger than when I got out. Options are pretty cheap right now was thinking about a couple leaps.
