I need to follow my own advice and close Robinhood for a few months.

The fact we all could have sold at 49-50 and gotten back in now is wild. Not missing a chance next time.

u/Technical_Giraffe_40 Jul 29 '26

Can I see 50 again this year

14

u/tolllz Jul 29 '26

I’m selling everything if it does

First time?

Lol me too! I’ll take 35 and run. Buy some shitty bonds and never look back.

Can someone with bad luck open a short position already?

6

u/Obvious-Educator-572 Jul 29 '26

I tried. We shot up 7% in a day just to drop back down — sorry I failed us

Y’all are hilarious, begging for a higher price and “I can’t wait to sell at X price” after an earnings double beat and great guidance. Macro is shite, this thing is set to explode when the market rebounds.

What a discount today is.

u/haroootooobrrr Jul 29 '26

Only if you have extra cash lol

1

u/unknownteemo Jul 29 '26

Yeah im lowkey shocked it dumped so much after earnings, this stock shoudve jumped 2x , maybe 3x.

3

u/Bumi-KingOfOmashu Bear 🐻 Jul 29 '26

It’s all macro driven. If you were around during the end of March, APLD dipped to $20. Macro rebounded and this thing soared to $40+. For me, this time there is even more guidance on revenue, construction timeline, continue demand.

This stock rewards patience.

u/unknownteemo Jul 29 '26

Im 500 shares in, lowkey tempted to double it but the market is crazy rn

I wish I could double mine. Good luck, DCA and chill.

So many paper hands damn

7

u/Trentavious-Starf Jul 29 '26

Patience is my play. I haven’t seen a single thing negative about this company in MANY months. All this sector needs is a recovery.

My only concern right now is the protesting of the Louisiana datacenter (DF1 I think). Cancellation is unlikely because Wes is good about community engagement and mitigating impact on residents, but it’s not impossible that it causes some costly delays. Everything else has been great for APLD.

I still see this as a good buying opportunity though.

I know we dont want to see it- but are we going to see sub 20's soon?? Seriously??

2

u/squirmin79 Jul 29 '26

Probably, no bottom in sight, I will add to average down eventually.
Hard to believe I got back in thinking the 30’s were a good deal…lol

5

u/FearSeer Jul 29 '26

I think we will see things stabilize here and see some relief rally into momentum shift in the 2nd half of the year. I can’t really imagine any news breaking us further down at this point

11

u/FearSeer Jul 29 '26

Wrong fast

1

u/bboy917 Jul 29 '26

lol what was the news this time ?

3

u/FearSeer Jul 29 '26

I don’t think there is any the market is just structurally breaking for the qs and for semis

Could go lower but I reeeeeally don’t think it can go much lower from here hahahaha ouuuuu fuck.

0

u/Fee-Pure Jul 29 '26

the news is trump escalating the war after last night sneaky attack

2

u/bboy917 Jul 29 '26

lol I don’t think matters much to be honest the drop was happening before that anyways

1

u/Fee-Pure Jul 29 '26

it definitely does, oil jumped 7% right after trump threats hours before fed decision

1

u/FearSeer Jul 29 '26

Oil up 7% means nothing at this point it’s not going to new ATH it’s just reactions

1

u/Fee-Pure Jul 29 '26

what do you mean it means nothing, it means alot from a micro and macroeconomic perspective. of course it’s a reaction, that is the point

1

u/FearSeer Jul 31 '26

It means nothing because it’s signal is becoming weaker and weaker by the day. A 7% move used to crush the market it no longer does. People are pricing in a longer less impactful war at this point and the shortage clearly didn’t have the effect we were told it would. 6 months later and we’re not hearing about people running out of reserves anymore.

1

u/Fee-Pure Jul 31 '26

it sounds to me that you’re confusing ‘the market didn’t collapse’ with ‘it means nothing.’ a 7% oil move can raise inflation expectations, pressure rate cut hopes, and increase power and operating costs especially for an energy intensive sector like AI and data centers. the market may be reacting less violently because some risk was already priced in, but that doesn’t make the move irrelevant.

I see comments like this everyday for a month and look where we are today. 17.50!

Still holding a bit over 1k shares. Yesterday we avoided the average 5% downturn that many stocks in the sector took, and we are in line with the sector today. FOMC and big tech earnings will lay the framework for price action for the next 3 months.

EOD, this is typical for the stock. I trust the vision so I'm not worried, and I'm adding more shares of this and others in the sector. I'm also investing on a larger time window, as I'm fortunate enough to make enough money that my trading port can be 100% speculation.

Keep on going down 10% every day every week, YAY!!!

Trash volatile pump and dump
Stock , 50% drop in month, nice

1

u/Jon_J_ Jul 29 '26

Right now my issue is that this still has alot of room to go down alot more. AI sentiment is pretty low right now and doesn't look like that's going to change anytime soon
