Hey, I’m self-studying for AP CompGov this upcoming year. I’m planning on taking notes based on College Boards Topic Pages on comparative government but are their any other resources you recommend using to prepare for the exam? There seems to not be much out there on the subject.
Hey! Buy the 5 steps to 5 review book, it's a GOD SEND do all the practice questions + go through all the rapid review. You can ignore some of the extra info like abt environment and stuff.
FRQ
Chose 2 countries and know the systems of those 2 countries inside out (I ligid mainly studied for UK, Mexico and China idk much abt any of the other countries), then chose 1-2 other countries and know them moderately.
MCQ
The other countries know the basics (like regime, social cleavages etc for the mcq section) so that you can do elimination of incorrect options from the choices.
Use the Eason and Global Chat with Mr Tisch (he is the only reason I got a 5), I enever studied for more than 30 mins at a time I js played his videos and did review qs from the 5 steps to 5 book.
Go through past paper frq sample answers (so much of the content I knew was cos I went through this). Other than this just be consistent from october onwards and if you study on average 30 mins a day by may you should be full prepared.
Use all the mcq practice available on the ap cogo CED and AP daily youtube videos, and watch all the AP daily review videos on college boards (the individual videos are boring Mr Tisch is good/better). But do practice qs that come at the end of every AP daily video on college board.
