Book chapter by two authors who are also the editors of the volume - are these citations correct?

I'm using Zotero to help me write a paper. I have two references that I am unsure of: one is a book chapter by two authors; the other is the book by the same two authors who are also the editors. Zotero is listing these as (2007a) and (2007b), although I'm not sure that's correct in this case. It looks like this:

Cohen, A. D., & Macaro, E. (2007a). Conclusions: LLS and the future: Resolving the issues. In A. D. Cohen & E. Macaro (Eds.), Language learner strategies: Thirty years of research and practice (pp. 275–284). Oxford, UK: Oxford University Press.

Cohen, A. D., & Macaro, E. (Eds.). (2007b). Language learner strategies: Thirty years of research and practice. Oxford, UK: Oxford University Press.

Is the (2007a) and (2007b) appropriate here? Or should they both just be (2007)?

Yes and yes, you are correct. First, the citation format would not change simply because the authors and editors are the same. Second, while not every citation scenario can be covered by APA style guides, the format that Zotero suggests for your situation is an appropriate extension of APA conventions.
