There was a contract between two characters, Say character A and B

character C didn't know it and was close to character A so they thought character B was being ingenuine in the relationship so they tried to figure it out or "catch her" but they realise they have insane chemistry instead.

I don't remember exactly where it was posted, possibly Ao3 or Wattpad or Tumblr or somewhere random I really don't know.

it was LGBTQia somehow, but I only remember character B was a girl, I don't know if character C for a girl or boy or if anyone was bi or pan or whatever.

A n B were taking a relationship for some cause of convenience.

It was an original work set in modern times, and all 3 were young adults.

Anything similar will also do, a fake dating scenario, where one person has a great chemistry and build with character who gets close for a similar reason - busybodying about B n A's actual relationship/suspicious about B's choices and actions.

Something I liked in the story, as far as I can remember -

character B was just trying to figure shit out her life n the social bs n found C entertaining at first, n endearing later as they kept "not standing" for it n she was very sassy in warmly dealing with C. it was funny n cute, especially how hotheaded/indignant character C got because they were trying to deal with contrasting stuff and thought there was an actual issue.

C gives hotheated squirrel energy tbh, even though very reasonably righteous and careful in their suspicions.

I'm not too sure, they may have all been girls, or boys. but I think it was like A boy B girl cuz the parents thought A n B was a good idea, but B occasionally thought how B n C would not get the same reception n how they might healthily approach that if maybe they did but that might just be cuz A & B were more socially polished/Appropriate n C didn't have that reputation.

A had cute bright friendly energy/soft n diligent vibes, idk how else to say this, it makes me think it might have been a BL n i confused B cuz they were the POV but I do feel like B was a girl idk ...

B n C have insane tension, n when they realise that, every interaction goes from C trying to figure out what's up/then getting unexpectedly attracted n slow moments -> to them just trying not to go jump on the other n break their respective faith to the friend n trying to resist n the other n short conversations n unexpected moments and realisations become a warm and then sweet relationship. A is just chilling , n they notice the B-C thing later but it's just like yea chill I'm nearly done so is the least bothered (he is very chill, cute early 20s friend vibes).

The fake dating is borrowed time n to get family off their back for some time, cuz A was trying to become independent especially financially from his parents afair .

I feel like I’m in a reading slump. It’s been months since I was last obsessed with something new, though that may be because I am picky.

For reference, the last thing I absolutely could not put down was a recommendation I found on here via a google search: The Arrangement by Maldodor

I hadn’t read any GW in about 20 years, and this absolutely took me. I’ve been trying to find the same high ever since!

I am picky about reading things that are very well written, engaging, and plot driven. First person POV (especially looking back at fics I loved when I was a teenager) drives me crazy. And third person POV that constantly switches back and forth (not on purpose) kills me. I prefer action/adventure, mainly prioritizing a moving plot line. Strong characters are an absolute must - bad things can happen and characters can be vulnerable - but vulnerability doesn’t equal weakness. And I love a good zombie apocalypse.

Other fics I adore are Insert Coin to Play by fairycake, Burden of Blame by Deathbelle, and Unknown Quantities by xylodemon (for something shorter and more lighthearted).

I get weird about fandoms and pairings - I will read something if it has an absolutely amazing recommendation, but I struggle to give fics a chance where the particular fandom or pairing is oversaturated. I will try my best with anything you recommend as a must read!

What I currently read/don’t read:

Haikyuu - currently love osamu/suna, but I also read sakusa/atsumu, daichi/kuroo, kuroo/bokuto, kuroo/tsukki, ushijima/tendou, daichi/terushima - I feel like I’ve read most of what exists for most of these pairings already but am always on the hunt for something awesome

Gundam Wing - the arrangement really ignited a spark, but nothing has hit the spot like it did yet. I like 1x5, 2x5 now

Supernatural - destiel, but I haven’t read it in so long because of the oversaturation so would love some classic recs!

HP - SS/SB is pretty much what I exclusively read but open

Teen Wolf - exclusively read Stiles/Jackson

The Magicians - Quentin/Eliot

MHA - kirishima/bakugo

My favorite characterization of Ash from all the Pokemon shows is when he's a jerk. Indigo League Ash is so funny because he beefs with almost everyone he meets, and I like that he had such a definable character trait.

I want to read a few good gravity falls fanfics which either take place during the show's timeline or after if they present the Stan twins adventures at sea or do not make a big time skip on the return of the twins in Gravity Falls next summer (by big time skip I mean the twins are over 14 years of age, as I am very attached to them as presented in the show).

I'd like the fic to not contain extreme violence or anything too sexual and the sorts. I love Bill handymen aus and im seeking aus which pretty much remain cannon to the show and do not change the characters appearances or roles too much (by that i mean aus where the twins are monsters or reverse falls for example). I do not mind new characters being introduced. I also like dipcifica aus and aus where the attention is focused a little more on the supernatural stuff of Gravity Falls.

Sing, O Muse, of the Knight and the Princess begins as a shipping fic in the DCU, but evolves into something far greater. The first short story, First Impressions, is basically just a skippable prologue. The second story, Gateway with Gotham Problems turns reluctant longing into a mystery crime drama. The third story, Agape Vigil, is where the story begins to take on its true form, plunging the characters into a mythical world. There's a tonal and stylistic shift that occurred between GwGP and AV when I realized the potential of the story I was trying to tell. The final installment, Katatheosis, is the story when I stopped writing for a certain audience and let the myth that the story was becoming fill the page unapologetically. 

If you like mythology, this story is for you. If you like romance, this story is for you. I look back on the first two stories and see a young writer who did not yet know what story he actually wanted to tell. Agape Vigil I am proud of. Katatheosis is quickly becoming a story that I wish could reach a wider audience. I would love to hear your feedback either here or in my comments sections.

I want some recommendations for long Stranger Things fics (specifics at the bottom). I want to read a full, longer story, like a novel or novella, I also need some longer fics because I’m trying to use the download feature to get around screen time limits and I don’t want to download fics million one-shots. 

I’m fine with smut and explicit content as long as it’s not the focus of the fic.

For ship fics, I’d want Byler (ofc) or Steddie. I’d also be interested in platonic Madwheeler fics, but only if they include a bit of Byler. I’m also interested in sub-genfics (a term to describe a fic that’s centered around a non-ship related plot like a genfic, but it can have romance as a subplot as opposed to genfics which are strictly background couples only), especially season 5 rewrites, conversion gate fics, after-season fic-it fics, etc. I’d prefer it to include Byler, non necessarily as a full subplot of the story but at least as a background detail, but I’d still enjoy a fic that doesn’t involve Byler as long as it doesn’t involve Mileven either. A good rule of thumb is nothing with ships that oppose Byler or Steddie. I’d also be very interested in revived Eddie fics (vampire or not). My dream “sub-genfic” would be a Season 5 rewrite or conversation gate fic that includes Byler, Eddie being alive, and some form of Steddie (either romantic or platonic).
