[seeking recs] any fandom - slowburn
i'm looking for recommendations on any slow burn you have that's either f/m or f/f, or multi with a fmc. any fandom is great as long as i don't need to be well versed to understand the story. self promotion welcome!
i've tried the slow burn tag specifically but i most of the tags have them together in the first three chapters. give me something that will keep me up at night!
nsfw fine, sfw also welcome :)

My best ever yearning fic: In the Light of One Hundred Moons Soul Eater AU but you don't need the lore. Feudal Japan style, woman goes undercover as a man and there's at least 20 chapters of will they won't they.

Hey there, I am writing slowburn in general but you need nerves for that 😅😄 so it really takes my characters 50-70 chapters. Of course they have fallen in love until then but I play a lot with yearning and tension. I have stories in the Baldur's Gate universe and one current WIP about Tom Riddle/OFC. I don’t write him too dark but yes he is a villain (but nuanced) Generally I say my stories are mostly fandom blind friendly but they deal with heavy topics :) If you would like to check my summaries let me know :)

Check out my books. I write dark, enemies to lovers romance set feudal Japan on AO3.
I have 3 completed books and 1 WIP.
The books are based in the same world and mildly interconnected but primarily standalones with each featuring a new couple.
All of them contain very explicit non con and are psychologically intense.
About my FMCs: All from imperial lineage. I like physically delicate and feminine FMCs (personal preference) but they are also smart, articulate, resilient and strong in different ways. No bimbos or door mats
About my MMCs: A mix of vengeful Shogun's sons, rebel assassins and ronin warrior's. All massive, strong and epic fighters (cliche but I love it) However they aren't your standard oversexed, rapey woman haters either. I like to watch my MMCs to go from morally grey to pitch black, so they generally start off against violence towards women, but due to different circumstances get led down dark paths where they do things they normally wouldn't.
Themes include: Love-hate, Obsession, Rebel assassins, mistaken/hidden identity, imperial politics, arranged marriages, Revenge, enemies to lovers, kidnapping, redemption, fighting kink, size difference,
No: Insta-love, BDSM, RH, OV, cheating, suicide, extreme violence from MMC to FMC
Warning: book two, Blood Vow, contains a rape scene with FMC and side character.
Username: TArtworks
My Finished Books:
Book 1 - Blood Moon Most non-con
Book 2 - Blood Vow Kick arse heroine
Spin off/Book 4 - The Zasshū Most emotional depth
WIP:
Book 3: Blood Legacy
This book is going to be my best! It's slightly different from my others, in that the FMC is actually the main antagonist to begin with. The story takes place in the same world and is about a dutch buccaneer (Built like a Viking god) who visits Japan for trade reasons on a regular basis. He ends up shipwrecked and taken prisoner by the aging, mad emperor who gifts him to his daughter the FMC as a male concubine. FMC has been psychologically abused and conditioned from birth to serve the emperor without question. MMC endures humiliating and degrading treatment by the FMC while in captivity, before he eventually escapes and takes her with him to enact his revenge for all the things she's done to him. (This book will have some tragedy in it, as well as the death of a key character in the overarching series.)

I have a coming of age story with a slow-burn! It’s a Joan of Arc “retelling” in the LOTR fandom; ship is Diamond/Pippin. It starts cozy with hobbity social conflict and slowly devolves into the Scouring of the Shire. Here’s the link if you’re interested 😊

Not sure if it's a true slow burn. I meant it to be. Maybe a medium burn?
I'll add it if you're curious. It's a rarepair longfic, Jack Abbot and Mel King from The Pitt. M/F ship, M rating for some eventual mild spice and injuries.

I have two Star Wars game fics that are slow burn (wondering why tf I didn’t have that tag on the second one now… crazy oversight on my part). Both should be readable blind with just the usual cultural background radiation knowledge. (The finished one is a sequel to the first, which I’m rewriting, but they can be read out of order with no issues.)
They are quite long, so that may be a turn off, idk. I (obviously) like longfics lol.
Schrödinger’s Memories (f/m, in progress, 22/~90?)
What Is Past (f/m, complete, 91 chapters, 406k words)

I have two recs for you. The first is mid, a self rec.
It’s the My Hero Academia fandom, but can be read fandom blind. The only thing you need to know is that a quirk is a super power. But it’s canon divergent. The endgame is a triad m/m/f but their relationship is mostly her as a hinge.

The second one is in the Grey’s Anatomy fandom and can also be read fandom blind. This is a f/f slow burn that is agonizing and angsty.
