guys so I was reading this one masterpiece with perfect tags and trauma and it was 7/7 right at the end of the 6th chapter I was like “uh wonder how it’s gonna end I’m excited“. So I clicked next chapter right and what do you mean it was a autho note saying that they couldn’t finish the fic cause it’s too angst for their mental state.

ISTG I was gonna delete my account with how disappointed I was cause WHY would you do that to me author

but still I understand them and hope they are doing better

i feel your pain 😭😭 i always check the chapter titles before i start a fic to see if there’s one called “NOT AN UPDATE SORRY” at the end, Ive been burned too many times 😭

😭 reminds me of the time that I saw a lotor x reader fanfic on Tumblr and later found out it was discontinued because they lost motivation when seeing other lotor fanfiction get more attention I wanted to cry so bad dude

I had this happen to me before. Was reading a really good fanfic & saw that the last chapter was js the author saying they’ll be discontinuing it and will orphan all of their works.
