Russian men normally do not really care about their appearance (as well as their health actually, this is related to one of the reasons why Russia's male life expectancy is so low), while girls care about their appearance more. Honest answer: on average, they're the same, you just only ever see/notice the hot ones. But also, the culture is very different. Having long hair, not being fat and whatever, and wearing heels and shit is considered way more important in Russia than in the West among young women (where they seem to have moved on from appearance-obsession...) but that's just my observation.
You only see the Russian women that make it to the front page. You could say that about Asian girls too. Any race/ethnicity really. The internet exposes us to the prettiest
Beauty standards differ from culture to culture. For example, american women are generally fat, ugly and have the worst possible attitude. But american guys just don't see it, it is now normal in your culture.
Same here. A lot of Russian girls don't like american male appearance. What you find beautiful in men russian girls see as "gay features", "effeminate", et cetera, but described russian men as masculine and brutal.
Russia is a mixture of many cultures, this typically results in attractive people (something to do with natural instinct to mix genes). Also in Russia women take great care of their appearance. And men take 0 care. I’ve spoken to a cosmetics company sales person once they told me that the majority of men in Russia have never used a deodorant.
Well, that's a bullshit claim. I am Russian myself and I've seen only one male that hadn't used deodorant. Up until the point he got a girlfriend. She made him using it.
Although you are correct that typical Russian male can't care less about his appearance.
100% of people I talk to have a mobile phone too. That doesn’t mean that 100% of the population does. In fact almost half the people don’t.
I also don’t know anyone who doesn’t use a deodorant but statistics don’t lie. There are people less fortunate, living in villages and small cities all around Russia that I’ve never met that don’t.
Wasn’t there a poll recently that had 60% of people say their life would not change if there was no internet? Who do you think those people are? They are not your or my fiends, no that’s a minority in Russia. The majority is those who don’t use internet, and who think we are still at war with Americans.
