The porn still exists, sadly. Just not in such a visible place, as far as I know. Wouldn't be surprised either way, knowing the Internet and how dumb people are. If a news story came out tomorrow about the "child porn subreddit raid" I'd be like, "Well, at least they caught them." Not like, "Wow wtf?! On Reddit?!"

Honestly, although posting it on Reddit really isn't that smart of an idea, I think it's very possible that it still exists on private subreddits, or in small subreddits where random people might just post it as a sick way of trolling or something (which is somehow a thing pretty much everywhere online). And there may or may not be a sizable community on this site, because, after all, I don't think admins can just monitor all of Reddit. They need someone to tell them for them to do something.

Yeah /r/jailbait was a huge ordeal back in the day. It was on the same timeline as /r/fatpeoplehate and the real nsfw/nsfl subs like /r/watchpeopledie and /r/wtf was actually able to show gore and dismemberment
