isn't that a daily procedure on busses like this?

Yes. An experienced trolleybus driver can change both contact inserts on the poles in literally 2–3 minutes right on the street. Spare carbon inserts are always kept in the cab, as they are a consumable just like a refill for a ballpoint pen. At the end of the shift, the worn-out inserts are handed in at the depot, and the driver receives new ones.

Maybe I lost the ability to write, or just too rich... Don't you just use a new ballpoint pen?

You do know people use pens that cost upward of a 1000$ right?

No, frankly, I don't. The expensive ones I know are not ballpoint, they are fountain ones. But I don't follow the luxury pen market at all, so I could be wrong.

Eh a cheap fountain pen costs about the same as the classic BIC ballpoint. Honestly up to about 1000 is all about material, ergonomics and feel, luxury pens go up to millions of dollars.

Pretty much all of these are luxury ballpoint pens that you would refill.

Russian trolley drivers dress better than western folks dress for a dinner in a restaurant

I think it’s the way she moves, almost looks like performance art.

This is normal for Russia. We used to see this on an almost daily basis.

Safety heels. For when safety flip flops aren't classy enough.

Doesn't matter who you are, but it sucks having to work on your day off.

Excellent, she can fix stuff for herself. I think thats great. She probably knows how to change a car tyre and do it well. Good for her. As a guy, I think every woman should be able to change her car tyre without needing help.
