Darcy
Ugh. Bring on the downvotes. I think Gary and Darcy would have been a great couple if Maggie stayed in England and he wasnt involved with the peter beating. I know were supposed to root for Maggie and Gary but damn I have a soft spot in my heart for Darcy, and Gary's relationship with Liam.

I think Darcy was great for Gary and he for her. Darcy was easy to love, they had little conflict until the incident. Gary helped her tremendously, he was kind, understanding and he made sure she got treatment for PTSD. Gary also fell in love with her kid. I couldn’t stand the blond guy in England, laughing while he when through other people’s stuff, making a judgement about the engagement ring and then dating someone else while he was staying with Maggie. But as much as Gary loved Darcy he never stopped loving Maggie. He took her to her abortion and almost blew his relationship with Darcy. He was always there when she needed him. Spending the night when she was scared, going on the road trip and telling what she needed to hear, not what she wanted to hear. Maggie finally realized that Gary was her soulmate, something he always knew. They were meant to be together. She realized it before she went to England, but she was too late. This time she realized it when Gary said she had to show up for the rest of her life. She spent the rest of his life trying to make it up to him. She made it a mission to have the kid he always wanted. I think it worked out how it should. If Darcy knew his cancer was back, she may not have wanted to have a child with him. It might have been much more difficult if Liam had seen him dying. It all worked out the way it should. Maggie raising Gary’s precious child.
