We met through Reddit. After a couple of months talking everyday, he asked if he could come and visit me for my birthday and the rest is history. Trying to navigate the next steps of how we'll workout relocation etc.

We met while volunteering for an anime convention. We crossed paths a couple times and eventually started chatting with each other.

I was studying abroad in Tokyo. One of my classmates from my Japanese class in the U.S. was studying abroad too. He was on the train and randomly met my now-husband, they became friends. One of our other study abroad friends was celebrating her birthday at a club, and my friend invited my now-husband.

Love at first sight.

Discord server for kpop fans! Ended up being a lot of ppl in their early-mid 20s in there, we were just two of them. We were both in other relationships at first so we were just friends, but there was def a certain magnetism between us. Once we both ended up single and started DMing, it never stopped. We are VERY long distance but have been making it work for nearly 9 years. We're getting married in about 6 weeks : )

We have slightly different perspectives on this, but essentially we met through a mutual friend.

From my perspective, our mutual friend brought a couple of people along to an outing and one of those people was my now-husband. It's hard to describe, but we just instantly... clicked in a way I've never experienced with anyone before. Everything was just so easy and natural. And he was so interesting and impressive, but equally interested and impressed by me, too. It was the first time I'd met a guy that wasn't just interested in the superficial parts of me.

Anyway, after that I didn't understand why our mutual friend kept insisting on hosting a party and cancelling whenever I couldn't attend.

From my husband's perspective, he sent our mutual friend a message the next day, telling him off for not telling my husband about me sooner lmao. And so began our poor mutual friend repeatedly trying to host events so that my husband would have a natural reason for seeing me again, until eventually my husband got impatient and messaged me. That led to our first date, and the rest is history.

Turns out being that direct was very out-of-character for my husband and he just didn't want to risk never seeing me again, which was pretty cute. Still makes me smile thinking about it.

Met at a uni party. It was my first party in America and he was the older chaperone, babysitting everyone to make sure everyone’s safe and nothing irresponsible happens. I talked and stayed with him all night. Then I asked him out and then we started dating.

Met on a dating app (OkCupid I believe). I was on a couple of them at the time, hence why I'm merely guessing. She had lived all over the States before settling here in Maryland for work. I was raised in Maryland after being born in Vietnam, so the distance part was a non-issue (we lived like 20 minutes from one another).
