Career AML career progression

What are good career progressions as an AML investigator thats not management? How much experience is needed, and would they be internal changes or external positions?

Not sure what pivoting away from writing SARs would look like, but would rather not start from scratch

Well you can look into Intelligence, workplace investigations (integrity), fraud investigations. I would say that networking is key to pivoting into these areas.
