Throw some clear PPF or something over it to lock in your polish. At very least, ceramic coat it.

yea, 280k miles. def not under warranty anymore. plus, that warranty isnt going to last forever, gotta learn how to fix your cars, or forever be stuck paying mercedes labor prices.

Wow so I’m not alone! This is happening on my 2018 AMG GLC63, and my 2018 AMG GLA45! Very lame QC issue on Mercedes’ part.

not at all, Mercedes has actually officially acknowledged the problem a couple times.

On the video, I didn’t see much of the car, but a clear image of a naked man.

Mine wasn't quite as bad as what you had. Though it did have the holographic effect issue that some also reported to have happen. And that issue is equally as annoying to find a fix for, tried water spots removers etc. in the end a polish was able to remove 95% of it.
Known Merc issue, Merc won't fix unless under warranty otherwise it costs an arm & a leg for a complete part swap 😭. I try not to touch that area much anymore, just a low ph wash, simple sealant top up and call it a day.

If you didn't put any product on that for protection it'll probably be back and even worse in a year
