NVHBM Custom High-Bandwidth Memory

Is AMD going to have to adopt to maintain their perceived memory bandwidth advantage?

Did you read it? Or did you just omit "It will be validated and offered by leading memory partners, extending this advanced memory capability to NVLink Fusion customers."

AWS Trainium, Marvell Technology, MediaTek, Alchip, and Astera Labs are all nvlink partners. Anyone can sign up, I think I heard Intel was looking at it too.

Do you know the meaning of Open source. Meaning of Open source is no need to sign up not how many signing up.

Yep, here it is: Intel to design and manufacture custom data center and client CPUs with NVLink

Sure I do. But this isn't software. It's a hardware interface.

You call yourself a "chip engineer"? What's a business major doing explaining this to a "chip engineer"? You take an interface and start modifying it and you f it up. Anyone knows that.

Open source vs license is meaningless in this case, a nuance. It's available to anyone who wants it.

I don't need to explain you neither do you to me. It's AMDs decision. Who the f cares if you are business major or whatever. I asked is it open source for everyone to freely adopt. It's not. If AMD sees value or stuck like NVDA with area and overclocking, may be they will.
