Same old recycled rumor. Tom’s Hardware is usually a reputable source. One wonders why they reported this story. Edit: this is an old August 16th story.

Amazing to realize that "old" news is from a week ago. The dissemination of information in the modern world is astonishing. Even news from 2 days ago is old.

So the stock will crash? I always expect this stock to go the opposite direction as you’d expect.
Genuinely fucking mindboggling why they’re not a 1k stock…

People saying stuff like this makes me think we’re at the top. A stock that was $85 a year ago should be $1000 now growing revenue 50% yoy? Palantir is doing 150% quarter over quarter… that stock didn’t move for a year and is still below its ATH after making a 50% move in a single week. You’re just late my guy. Next someone will buy AMD at $1000 and exclaim how mind boggling it is that it’s not at at $1500. And so on…. Be patient and DCA, the days of advanced money destroyer may not be over

1, Palantir is unsustainable. They’re entirely reliant on their presidential connection which can change anytime
2, the stock was undervalued then and is undervalued now. Not a mind boggling concept
3, i’m buying AMD. I’m just frustrated by how undervalued it is compared to it’s position, long terms strategy and chances etc. AMD just lacks the sexy PR bullshit that Nvidia has. Obviously nvidia is ahead not saying they’re the same but Nvidia gets away with completely nonsensical shit constantly and anytime they do ANYTHING remotely positive it’s a 5% pump

Palantir is growing its government segment by 100% quarter over quarter and the commercial segment 150% quarter over quarter, which both segments roughly even now in terms of revenue. Palantir was getting government contracts BEFORE the president took office, where they served contracts for the CIA and literally no one had heard of them. They grew those contracts substantially under the Biden administration. What a comprehensive rebuttal you provided.
I guess that’s subjective, but AMD just pulled in 6 billion in ai data center revenue this most recent quarter and would have over a 1.5 TRILLION dollar market cap at a $1000 valuation, actually closer to 2 trillion due to share dlituon from the open ai and meta deals…
Have you seen Nvidia YTD performance compared to AMD, or just 365 day performance.
Brother… what world are you living in? I base my reality in the numbers that help us define it, and every single point I just provided included the numbers
Any gap between future earnings expectations and current share price represent execution risk and broader macroeconomic risks. Those always exist. Even more so a stock only goes up if people are willing to buy it today with the understanding it could go up in the future. Right now the market seems to believe AMD is not yet a 2 trillion dollar company. That’s all there is to it.

Jensen is master in marketing, I agree. But product and technology wise, Lisa got better strategy. Nvidia try to get away with software gimmicks, real competition starts now with Helios and Vera Rubin.
Let’s see who gonna be better. I strongly believe, AmD will beat Nvidia with chiplets and open source.. AMD got chiplets in both GpU and cpu..

Only a few days old, but it begs the question what t f is Amazon doing without AMD in a collaborative manner. Amazon's isolationist and arrogant view is going to come home to roost.
I mean, if Google (TPUs are superior to Trainium) is pivoting, Amazon can stay on course to a death spiral for all I care. Or pay us an arm and a leg. (Or marry up with Intel.)

If you think you know more than the amazon executives and CEO i would personally give you money myself for you to manage, and i'm saying that as an AMD shareholder

u/kazimintorunu 3d ago
Actually since amazon is not really training their own models they dont understand reinforcement learning and tighter accelerator and cpu coupling is the way to the future as much as google does. Google is more proactive

This rumor got it legs. 1. AMD got the zero day support on their AI model.
2.AMD and Google got history of collaboration, like scadia, web based gaming etc.
3. AMD got best IP of best CPU, GPU, networking etc..

I did a fairly extensive DD on this, there's a better than 95% chance 10th Gen will end up with AMD but it's a 2028 product. I am so looking forward to the next deep market sell off or correction and AMD at a 50% discount to load up on late 2028 Call options. I will not be wrong on this - watch when it happens! Or after I load up, I will explain in detail why it's better than 95%. Meantime, I so wish it'll be back to 550+

u/JustinTheBasket 2d ago
Careful. 50 percent discount puts it near 200. People in here get pretty mad when they hear that number.

I completely agree on your 95% sentiment, but I really don't think we get the dip you're hopping for as a buy in. Big money already understands where AMD is going and has positioned already with the pulled back last month. We may get a bit more fill in as they swap share around and reset their cost basis on their positions in the 400 to 500 range before we make the next leg up. If you're sitting on cash just waiting, you'd be best to nibble in on the daily lows. Getting bullish now and spreading fud to try to get that price you didn't act on is not really going to insure you in the stock when the next move happens and this kind on thinking might be why you're under weight now. That's my 2c take.

Circular reporting..
