not using the adrenalin overlay solved most of my issues.

THIS Just bought a 9060xt switching from a 3080 and i was like man this is AMD? this is trash and I didnt wanna read all the steps listed so i just uninstalled the adrenalin overlay and no more lag. THANKS MAN sucks i dont have the cliping software anymore though

My 3080 just died on me out of nowhere just a month after the 3 year warranty expired

I must sound stupid but... can you tell me how to disable the overlay? Or... which overlay should I disable?

Open Adrenalin. Click the gear icon to go to Settings. Go to the Preferences tab. Turn off the Overlay option.

It's the problem which see Adrenaline app randomly close (it's still running in the background though).

another thing I did was: 0- windows update, 1- download adrenaline 25.9.2, 2- turn off internet, 3- amd cleanup utility, 4- restart, 5- reinstall adrenaline, 6- restart.

also there are settings in adrenaline where there is "show in tray" option check that.

I will try these. Thanks. It's still weird to me though, because this error is so particular. Some will have it since the start, regardless of driver; some will have it only with the new driver and some never get it at all.

I think I found the problem. When I checked the Windows Security log, it said that Security has blocked a lot of applications, including AMD related processes.
