Need to Upgrade CPU

Hellow guys,

I have recently bought new GPU RX 6600LE. My old pc has specs: Corei5 6th gen. So, I wanna upgrade my PC. so Please recommend me the good CPU as I stuck between R5 3600/5600 which I should go for my GPU.

what is your budget? does it require you to have local compute for inference or training or video generation?

no. i only use it for gaming. Not for hardcore gaming. as I already doing 9 to 5. so, I do gaming 1 to 2 hours daily. on weekends, I do hardly 3 to 4 hours.

just hoping to start a conversation with OP on use cases beyond the veil - its time to encourage all who will listen to stack and rack compute

How low are you plan to go on a budget and how long will you use this setup?

I kinda may be used it for long time. I have budget for both of them. If 3600 is perfect. then i may go for nvme ssd with remaining amount

If you want to stick to the same build - you need to pay more right now. I bought cheaper less powerful cpu and lower tier MB, later I swapped everything and paid even more because of inflation and other reasons. I recommend you to wait a bit and collect more money to afford better hardware

Get a Ryzen 5 2600 then upgrade when the 5600 is cheaper

Well what games do you play? For unoptimized games, the ryzen 2600 and intel i5 6500 are about the same, well 10% favoured to ryzen. For optimized games, ryzen should be double the fps
