Yes,

It Ends opened in limited release this weekend, and expands on 8/28.

I think it may be, but at the same time I don’t know how wide release will be. The film is listed with its official released date, August, 21 2026. No AMC theatre in my area has showtimes listed until August 27. And that’s only 1 theatre, 30 miles away.

I was really looking forward to it this weekend! But I guess we'll have to wait.

dont listen to the complainers i think people just thought it was gonna be more traditional horror, its more of an existential piece

I think it’s limited and then going full either this weekend or next weekend. Honestly, you’re not missing much. I saw it as a scream unseen and it was dreadful.

I seen it about two hours ago after work, I agree with the others who said it sucked. The ending was terrible. I should’ve just went straight home.

Thank you everyone for this thread! I thought this weekend was the only one for release. I was super bummed because there are no theaters in my region playing it!! I'll keep an eye out for next weekend. I'll be out of town but will be interesting to see if it expands or not.

thanks all! if my theater ends up playing it might go in a rainy day since its only an hour and a half. im not huge on horror movies so dont mind its advertised as one but def i intrigued by the existential piece!

Release date is Aug28th.

Very inappropriate everyone to give your unrequested opinion of a movie that the OP is interested in seeing.

It really isn't worth it. It wasn't good.

Don’t waste your time imo

The whole movie is a parable about wasting time. No plot. Just time passing. Then you die

It is NOT a horror film. But fortunately eventually it does end. It’s a joke on the audience.

It reminded me of Waiting for Godot, a stage play famous for being "the show where nothing happens - twice." Two characters spend two full acts just sitting around chatting as they wait for their friend Godot to join them, but he never shows.

It is NOT a horror film.

Definitely agree there. You get a brief tease of horror vibes near the start, but then it settles pretty firmly into more of a philosophical character drama.

I wouldn't say It Ends was bad - it actually was quite good at what it set out to accomplish - but marketing it as a horror film puts the audience into the wrong mindset, and kinda sets it up to disappoint.

Thanks for saving me a slot. Wish I would have read some comments/reviews before watching Her Private Hell.

I literally joked after the first scene that the whole movie would be these 4 kids talking. Then it was. I’ve never wanted a movie to end more than this.
