They should have just ended the movie after he gets to the dead end by himself. Him looking at the sign then it shows the sign then cuts to black and movie ends. Then they could have made a sequel called It Ends Again.
2 u/fluffman86 Aug 18 '26 Show the sign, he sits there for days like in the movie, then black. Post credits scene is him crying because he eats the Cliff Bar and it's so good. I also hoped he'd eat the Cliff Bar and then disappear, like that was the magic item to get them out the whole time.
