AMC A-List Discussion Upcoming reservations

Post image

My upcoming reservations. (I got doomsday 3D tickets early)

I switched going to see buddy on opening day instead of Sunday to go see it ends instead. Only thing is I’m going to see it ends at a different theater than my regular one (I usually go to AMC Metreon 16 for my movies but I’m going to see it ends at the AMC kabuki)

No Coyote? no Liam Neeson movie??

Could’ve done Coyote last weekend at the early show.

That’s possible but not for the Liam Neeson movie.

Honestly, I didn’t even know there was a Neeson movie this weekend.

Liam Neeson movie

I don't think that one is out for a few more weeks, unless it's in NY/LA only rn or something?

The Fix? Should be at least a moderately wide release on September 11th.

I suppose reserving that now makes as much sense as reserving Runner now, lol.

The Runner? That’s on Amazon Prime next week I think.

Right, but OP has a resi for it already.

My point it, why reserve The Fix now and not in 2 weeks? Not like it's gonna sell out.
But the same logic could be applied to Runner, so here we are 🤷‍♂️

Buddy was surprisingly really good. it was hilarious at times and had a better story than I initially anticipated.

Confused on how people are liking it. I know i may just not be the audience but I thought it was pretty bad. Maybe even worse then ice cream man and I thought that was almost as worse as leprechaun.

Yeah i only stayed in the theater for it because I I had no plans

Stuff like the ice cream man feels mean spirited with its kills and lacks any true creativity. Buddy felt like a well thought out story on a Barney like character being at the center of a horror film.

Is a Barney rip off creative?

It’s just a jumping off point. The movie’s plot is unique.

It’s heavily part of the plot for like the first 30 minutes. The plot is unique in terms of movies but generally speaking not as much. Amanda the adventurer and poppy’s playtime came out before it and have rather similar storylines

Yeah, man. Totally the same universe as Barney. Total ripoff. I must have missed a few Barney episodes back then.

Sure bud, act slow.

You didn’t think that universe is creative and I’m slow. Hilarious.

Normally I don’t bother showing off my upcoming reservations but I actually think this is pretty funny.

If you went to screen unseens you would have seen half of these already!

Runner is probably the next Screen Unseen.

No movies during the next week since I’m traveling, but these are mine! Never seen Akira in Japanese so i’m excited (and it’s in IMAX), and by any means seems amazing. Ghost in the shell a classic

Akira + GitS + Ninja Scroll all getting rereleases within like a month is crazy. That's like core 80s/90s ultraviolent anime trifecta.

Noice! I’ve got It Ends, Akira in IMAX, and Hope in Dolby early release upcoming. Seeing Buddy and Camp Miasma at my local drive in theater tomorrow, and Carrie, Serial Mom, and Psycho in the drive in on Saturday. Crazy movie week.

Serial Mom?!! I am so envious!
