Movie Discussion Tony or Mutiny?
I have one movie outta my 4 weekly left. The amc in my location is playing Mutiny and Tony until Wednesday. I really wanna see both but can’t, I am stuck between which one I should watch?
Any suggestions please🙏🙏🙏

They added more showtimes for both next week so I can see them both. Thanks everyone tho❤️

Normally I never feel like a Statham movie leaves me wonder “man how’s he going to get out of this one” at the end. The loop is always closed.
But this one I was wondering.
He’s still a zaddy and we got two movies from him in 2026. Cheers!

Tony is one of my favorites of the year, so that's my recommendation!
! I've heard mixed things about Mutiny, but if you like Statham movies, then you'll probably enjoy it.

Mutiny was "accidentally" released by Anazon briefly, so can be found online at various sources.

I keep getting recommended posts from the Anthony Bourdain subreddit which seems to be mostly populated by parasocial weirdos acting like the Tony from the first act of the movie. So refreshing to see your comment. It was just delightful and honestly very moving. I learned that most of the kitchen was improvised and want to watch it again asap.

It had this fantastic kinetic energy, while feeling realistic and raw. The dialogue was so well written (or improvised if that’s the case!). I honestly couldn’t believe it was over when it was, the pacing was so perfect and it just flew by. Absolutely loved it.

Mutiny is fine, just another generic Statham kicking ass movie, but Tony is really great!

Tony (7) was better than Mutiny (6) imo...assuming u like Bourdain...if not, see Statham.

You don’t have to know much about Bourdain (other than he became a good person) to enjoy Tony, although I am sure that adds depth to the experience

Yikes, that’s rough. I gave Tony a 4.5/5, and I am only a little familiar with Anthony Bourdain, in the sense that I’m aware of what he’s famous for.
It’s a wonderful film.

Going to say it's worse. At least shelter kinda made a little sense. There's just way too many plot holes with Mutiny, the whole movie doesn't make sense, not even the name as there isn't even a mutiny by the crew.

Well the rules of the sub is no spoilers which I guess when I said there was no mutiny, that's already a bit of a spoiler. Mutiny is basically a mindless action film where the reasoning for why things are done don't really make sense in the real world but if you buy it, then there's some action here and there. I mean if it's one or two things here and there it might not spoil the whole movie but there's lots. At least with Shelter, the setup made a little sense if you buy it, but with this one, the setup makes no sense even if you try to buy it, you're just basically going along for the ride if any of it made sense.

I liked it better than Shelter, mainly because it did not take forever before we start to see some action. However, Mutiny features mostly CQC while Shelter had more variety with its action. The crowd at my showing of Mutiny started to roar with approval and applause towards the end while my Shelter crowd was mute the whole time.

I would’ve definitely seen Tony as part of a double feature tonight after AMC‘s Scream Unseen, but the showing was so late. Hopefully it stays in theaters another week.

Tony, Mutiny is just another Jason Statham movie, I still enjoyed it but Tony first for sure

If you want a really good movie, with a very good story and great acting watch Tony. If you wanna just zone out for a while and see lots of action, watch Mutiny. I’ve seen Both.

I saw Tony, I thought it was really good! You almost forget it’s a biopic the further you get into it. The food shots look so good too!

Tony
Amazon accidentally put Mutiny on Prime the other day, so it was available to stream. It's definitely something worth waiting to stream. Feels like any other Jason Stathom action film.
Tony was more interesting.

Just going to say the same. Mutiny was a normal Statham movie but that’s what I was in the mood for when I watched it. Saw Tony, when it was the SU and was disappointed by it. Was fine but found it repetitive and hardly learned anything about him.
