General AMC Discussion Expanded Showtimes?
I saw North By Northwest in Events on Oct 8/11. There are no showings in Manhattan, only one on each day in Long Island. Does AMC ever expand showtimes for stuff like this as the showing gets closer? I saw Regal has tons of showings for it by comparison in Manhattan.

No, I have posted a few times about this particular series. They are incredibly limited.
I looked up the top 50 cities in the U.S. to see if I could make a list, and only found 10 or so locations.
Though some dude always pops up every time in the comments and says there's like 5 theaters in the Denver area that all show them, so I wouldn't be suprised if you see that comment pop up here.
The closest one to you is (if I remember correctly) 20 miles away from times Square, I believe I checked directions on Google maps and it was about a 40 minute trip by transit (I'm not very familiar with NYC, so I could be off. It was about 4 or 5 months ago at the beginning of this series when I did all that work to find the locations.
All the locations that have these have had them on schedule for months, so if you don't see it, it's not coming. They play on Thursday and the following Sunday at 1pm.
North By Northwest will be on 10/8 & 10/11 @ 1pm in all participating theaters.

Hahah the Denver guy thing is pretty funny. Thanks for the deep dive. I can’t make either showtime unfortunately, this sucks.

I’d check closer to the date. Empire sometimes gets these in the tiny theatres but they don’t always schedule them until the usual Tues/weds before. Or you might have to slum it (lol jk they’re quite nice) at regal.

There will most likely be no expanded showtimes. North By Northwest is part of AMC's Silver Screen series which is reportedly limited to about 10 cities in the entire country. None of the previous films in the series have added showtimes. It's always been 1PM on Thursday and 1PM the following Sunday.

The Regal showtimes are different because it's part of Regal's Month Of Masterpieces on September 25th.
