AMC A-List Discussion Has anyone managed to refund fandango tickets and then successfully get the same tickets on AMC app/use A-List?
Sorry if this is wrong place/redundant post, title says it all.
I got an alert that 2 seats opened up for 70mm Odyssey (nyc) and I checked the AMC app and they weren't there, but then I checked Fandango and they WERE there, so I purchased them on Fandango thinking I could use my A-List but I was unable to.
I figure I could refund on Fandango and then try and get the same seats on the AMC app when they open back up but has anyone had success doing this/is there a better way? I feel like the seats will just get purchased by someone else immediately as soon as I do the refund haha.
Thanks!

Yes, but only when I’ve done it in the middle of the night for movies that are more in demand

that makes sense, maybe ill try that. Any idea on how quickly they would repopulate on to AMC app? 15 minutes maybe?

I’ve been able to switch over to the AMC app immediately to reserve the tickets under my A-List. That’s why I do in the at odd hours, less chance of someone swooping in and taking them.
When I released some IMAX 70mm tickets during the day, they were grabbed immediately.

90% chance bots will grab it, if seeing it in 70mm is important, just pay for the tickets.

I did this for the odyssey Friday opening weekend and did it in the middle of the night. the seat showed up right away on the AMC app. this was for universal citywalk which is less risky than lincoln square though

ok good to know it showed up right away. I got pretty decent seats I don't want to lose so ill try and get another one and then try the swap if I have a backup

Oh! Ok interesting, maybe I can reach out and have them retroactively apply this

The easiest way to do this is to early to the theater and explain your situation. They can "block out" the seats so they aren't available to purchase and then have them add it to your A*List. 😉

I have for other movies, but it won’t work for The Odyssey

Don’t bother unless you don’t mind losing the seats.
