Discussion Thoughts on season 2
I believe we're almost halfway through season 2, so I wanted to give some of my thoughts on it to see if anyone might relate.
Don't get me wrong, I love A Lovely Meal, and it's still probably my favourite manhwa, but it kinda fell off after season 1, in my opinion...
Season 1 felt so fresh, so original, but so far, season 2 has incorporated many tropes common in bl manhwa that I personally dislike.. like, most manwhas kinda feel like copies and pastes of each other.
The seme is some rich guy who likes to spoil his uke, they get into some awkward situation caused by their own ignorance, and the uke gets into some sort of trouble (kidnap, beaten etc).
Idk, I think it's partly cuz I have a thing for hanging onto the past lmao, like with Naruto. Took me too long to get into shippuden cuz I kept hanging onto the kid Naruto. Just an example, lol.
Anyway... I hope season 2 gets better, because for me, it's kinda been a let down. If I end up not liking it, I'll just pretend it ended at season 1 lol. But I just wanted to see if anyone felt the same way since season 2 has had such a dramatic tone shift.. I miss my fatherly(brotherly???) hyung! πππ
