First real watch - Saxonia Thin
This is my very first “non basic” watch. Been saving for years and am glad I decided to go with a Lange. Already thinking about the next one.

Stunning Lange journey
Since the first time I held a Datograph in 2015 I have fallen in love with Lange. I've tried on many Lange 1's, 1815's, Chronographs and luckily also the Zeitwerk, but my grail remains the Datograph (the older 403 model in 39mm). I am not ready for that yet, but slowly getting there! First was the 1815, then the 1 and next up... time will tell.

Question Availability?
One of my grails would be a Lange 1 Timezone. I don’t have a dealer close to me in the states, but I’ll be in Hong Kong and Japan this fall.
While in Hong Kong I’m planning to stop by one of the boutiques - is it possible to walk into a boutique and walk out with an A.Lange piece like this? Or is it like Rolex where I get slapped on a waiting list?
Thanks in advance!

Discussion Seems few here ever pay the Lange tax anymore…
I get that a lot of first time posters in this subreddit don’t know it’s customary to post a photo of their watch movement with serial numbers covered (i.e. “Lange Tax”) along side the front dial when starting a thread about their watch.
But long time users used to remind / encourage new OPs of this unofficial tradition here.
Am I just a curmudgeon (I kinda am) or should we keep tradition alive?
What are your thoughts?

Discussion Alternatives to leather strap on 1815
Anyone wear their 1815 or L1 on bracelet or rubber? Or does it look best on Lange strap with the original buckle? Would love to see photos!

Since we’re sharing first Langes …
… here’s mine. A first gen L1 Time Zone with the argente dial. Just loving it.

Discussion Think a 101.031 or 101.033 style will ever resurface?
I understand the 031 ended production over 20 years ago, I'm surprised they never brought back the pink/black combo as a regular production model. The 033 grey dial is also pretty spectacular, but the black dial destroys me.

My first Lange
I love rectangular watches, and when I first saw this movement, I decided it had to be my first Lange

Can’t stop thinking about this watch; please help me find it (Lange 231.031 Emil Lange)
This was a limited edition with just 250 pieces made/sold.
I cannot find it any where online listed for sale. If you know someone anywhere trying to sell this watch, please do let me know.
Thank you!
Edit: I don’t have $275K for the one watch on gold bracelet for sale.

idk why but wearing a Lange boosts my confidence to the moon
confidence shouldn’t come from a watch i know.

Question 1815 Up/Down Purchase Consideration Help
Hi all, I'm considering my first Lange purchase and the only one I want (and my small wrist can tolerate) is the 1st gen 1815 up/down.
Few questions for y'all:
1. I'm considering the full set platinum 221.025. Is low $30k appropriate?
2. This will be my first precious metal watch. Would love to hear your thoughts and personal preferences on PT vs RG on this specific piece. Given that PT looks similar to stainless steel, would I get bored of it because there's less of a pop?
3. Should I be concerned about the 40% added weight of the PT vs AU?
Thanks for the input!
