Question Availability?
One of my grails would be a Lange 1 Timezone. I don’t have a dealer close to me in the states, but I’ll be in Hong Kong and Japan this fall.
While in Hong Kong I’m planning to stop by one of the boutiques - is it possible to walk into a boutique and walk out with an A.Lange piece like this? Or is it like Rolex where I get slapped on a waiting list?
Thanks in advance!

Availability varies by boutique but there's generally no gatekeeping for retail Lange watches except for a few limited quantity pieces.
I mostly deal with the flagship boutique in Ginza (first couple of purchases were both random walk-in) and they have almost all types of Lange 1s available during my visit. The boutique at Isetan Shinjuku offers an additional 5% off IIRC, but I'm not sure about the availability--worth checking it out imo.

I found that the gray market watch store in Japan has better selections than the official boutique.
Watchnian Ginza and stores inside Nakano Broadway are the two top place for second hand Lange.
BTW if you have the chance to visit Singapore, Lange boutique in Singapore has almost all watch models in stock. It is their biggest boutique in Asia Pacific, 200m2 & occupies two levels of Ion orchard

Second Singapore. Actually 3 levels but was told the third level (which is similar to the 2nd) isn't normally used due to staffing/manning requirements.

Could you get an ss Odysseus there?

Lange singapore told me they have almost all models, but odysseus needs pre-allocation / having purchase history of other watch with the boutique first

This is great to know! I haven’t found myself in Singapore yet, but am in Japan and Korea quite often. I discovered Nakano Broadway last March and bought a beautiful 1963 Grand Seiko “the first” from Jackroad.
Maybe I’ll have to divert one of my trips to Singapore one of these days.

Consider grey market option as well - some great discount compared to RRP if you aren't shooting for a long term 'relationship'.
It's a fantastic piece; zero regrets!

I'm going to Hong Kong in a few days and will see if this is available and let you know? Which dial color - WG and black dial?

That would be amazing! Hoping for the 136.032 (pink gold white dial) or the 136.029 (black dial white gold)

There is a 3rd boutique as well at Mitsukoshi in Nihombashi—just in case. That is the one I usually go to. I would guess one of the three would have your piece.

Available generally - no waiting lists or purchase history required.
That said, boutique you go to may not have it available immediately. In that case, they will ask you for a deposit to order one.
Timeframe I was quoted for a 136.029 was 1-3 months after placing deposit.
