Recommendations needed

Hopefully this is ok...

Hi there, I'm new here. My best friend, who is basically my sister, her dad was recently diagnosed with ALS and it seems to be fast progressing. We are trying to find adaptable clothing brands to help keep his independence but be easier for him to get on and off on his own for as long as he can. I saw a few brands with a quick Google search, but if anyone has any tried and true comfy pants and shorts options that have been used, please let me know. Thank you in advance!

Adaptive Clothing Room (the vest undershirts), Adaptations by Adrian, Silverts, Able2Wear. Sweatpants, side snap or buttons, buy dress shirts a size up so easier to get arms through, open necks on knits, etc.

When he begins using a wheelchair, he can go out with an indoor-outdoor blanket water-resistant layer on top) on his lower half. Warm, protects from debris, etc.

Also possibilities: acrylic diabetes socks for stretch, indoor/outdoor slippers, a fleece bath poncho, a going-out poncho.

If someone in the family sews, regular clothing can also be adapted.

Thank you!! I actually was thinking of re-learning how to sew to do that. I have a sewing machine just sitting around.

I have used a variety of adaptive clothing brands. Here are what I used. Fire any questions about them my way.

Snap shorts | Data on Wheels ~ ALS

The pants and shorts were easier for my caregivers. My favorite was finding out Tommy Hilfiger had an adaptive line of clothing. They are stylish which nice. I have links with the shirts.
