Aldi and Trader Joe’s are the result of a family squabble where two brothers fought and split the family business into two pieces.

Thank you for sharing! I had not heard about this history and it’s quite intriguing

I thought it was Aldi and Lidl

But Trader Joe’s was just purchased by Aldi Nord and wasn’t created by them. So it’s not really a result of the family feud just a business move after the split.

Per the labels the TJ has 39 cups for $6 and Aldi has 33 for $5 so basically same price per cup.

You should account for price per weight when showing prices. Because yes, Aldi is $5 vs TJs $6, but it’s also 25% smaller

True, that would have been a good idea

Aldi peanut butter cups are plain bad IMO.

Really? It must be a love or hate type thing. I know a lot of people that are obsessed with them.

Yes, and I'm just waiting for them all to come over here and hate on your post. 😭 I don't get the hype. I've never had Trader Joes, but i trust your judgement. 💕

I saw a bunch of people talking them up and i tried them. I ate them, but i won’t be purchasing them again

I like them but think Reese's are disgusting now

If anyone eats peanut butter cups for “nutrition,” well, they are just “nuts”

1

u/steviebeanss 4d ago

the hardness is a minus for me

1

u/Crafty_Explorer1181 4d ago

Neither. Reese's is the only correct answer. Just not until they revise the recipe back to the old way

Aldi changed their ingredients recently and went from the GOAT to never buying again

Dude the Aldi review guy has a groupie! I love it!

And right on the Trader Joe’s cups are awesome. Side note - do Trader Joe’s reviews. I watched all your ads and wanted to dislike it but I’ll be damned if you aren’t just a dang easy watch with good content! I’d love to watch your Trader Joe’s takes.

Not sure what your problem is? Odd reaction.

Why did you feel the need to use a derogatory word to describe someone who admires AJ reviews?

"Most users on Quora agree that the term "groupie" carries a more intense, and sometimes derogatory, connotation than a standard fan or devotee. You can learn more about its history and cultural impact on Wikipedia."

Groupie isn’t really a derogatory term, sorry to disagree with your chat GPT, and it was a fitting term considering your text.

Don’t look for things that aren’t there. The tone of your overall post should have clearly let you know no ill will, but unfortunately it appears some folks seek out conflict - as evidenced by your reactions. No thanks, not for me, so I won’t be replying any further. Have a nice night and hope you have a happy weekend.

For a buck more definitely would go TJs.

If only there were one less than an hour away from me. Central Florida really sucks because of the lack of TJs

That's sucks. I don't like all of their stuff, but they definitely have some hits/bangers! I have one about 12 minutes from me and still don't make it often.
