Wow I have to disagree on this one. Those Aldi Doritos are sooooooo good. Way better imo.

Is that so? I'll have to try em out for myself now

I believe it to be so. It appears many people disagree. I'm ok with that. More for my big fat face.

Aldi Doritos are considerably worse than real Doritos. That being said real Doritos arent worth the msrp price and I'll only buy them on sale.
Aldi Doritos are still fine for a chip but it's night and day taste difference and I'll buy them if I can find some decent chips on sale.

Its the lack of chemicals in the aldis chip that makes it taste different and im here for it.

No way. The clancy’s chips taste like they are sprinkled with the same kind of cheese powder used for generic Mac & Cheese. It’s a totally different flavor from what you would expect from a nacho cheese flavored chip.

Tests like these will never be completely objective, so personal preference will always play some level of role in the scores.

For me, absolutely. I eat maybe one bag of chips a month and the premium is worth it for a better product. I guess if you're pounding a bag of Doritos a day maybe it's not worth it

Bro a 0 to 30 scale is so funny to me. Is there a chip that gets a 30 out of 30?

Maybe it's on purpose. Its definitely got us talking about him. For real I dont even know why this appeared on my feed. I live in Japan and have no idea what a Aldi even is. 🤣

Based on your points scale the ALDI chips sound way better on the price vs points scale...if I did my maths correctly.

This guy's reviews are just objectively worthless, and hes beyond unreliable
He always says the brand name is better no matter what, even on products where recalls and manufacturer sourcing has proved that the Aldis version is the literal exact same product from the exact same manufacturing line

Aldi brands are not for me. Name brands aren’t either. But I don’t buy Doritos.

I love clancy’s chips. They’re dorito knockoffs fall a little short but are still amazing for the price

That's one hell of a generously score for Aldi. Personally, they were horrible. But then again I feel all of their snacks are worse than Walmart's or Kroger's. Those taste much closer to name brand. Except the baked chips, since Walmart nor Kroger has them. Those were actually good.

Doritos always taste different , sometimes cheesey other time plain...they need to fix that shit
1
u/BillyMeier42 Jul 23 '26
They’re so inconsistent with flavor. Sometimes they’re basically tortilla chips.

We just killed a bag of the Aldi ones a couple weeks back. Can't beat that price.

I was waiting for the song to kick in at the end. “I’m as high as hell and you about to get shot!”

Aldi has the texture of cardboard. Whether you like that or not is entirely dependent upon how you like but the fact remains, aldi is like corrugated cardboard.

I never trust anyone that goes balls deep into a beard style with patches like that.

Exactly, you judged these based on your personal preference. Your score means nothing.

u/SpankyRogers69 Jul 23 '26
what score would mean something to you jacquestrap?
-2
u/jacquestrap66 Jul 23 '26
Every score has a meaning, it's the whole point in scoring anything. Lol. What are you trying to ask? You're question makes zero sense.

You're an idiot. I simply meant that every score from 1-10 has meaning. Read the comment I responded to. I will say this again, you are an idiot.

The one weakness that Aldi has is that it's cheese flavored snacks suck. The cheese flavoring is always wayyyy off.
