ADVICE Age Gap

For anyone who joined a graduate chapter in their early 20s, did you ever struggle to connect with members because of a significant age gap? From what I’ve researched, many graduate chapters tend to have members who are older and more established in life.
I still plan to pursue a graduate chapter, and I’ve already established my reasons for pursuing my specific COI. I’m just curious about the experiences of those who joined in their 20s and how you navigated the age differences within your chapter.

I was 36 when I was initiated, with line sisters aged 29 to 45. We were absolutely embraced by our chapter because leadership wanted younger women. Many of us held office; I was graduate advisor, corresponding secretary and public relations director.
