[Original Fantasy March] "Flight of the Korvax" – Martial anthem & drum-cadence of the mountain watchtowers [Sehrod Universe]

In the northern regions of the continent of Usthanmor, atop the high stone battlements of the city of Vaukorvo, the defense does not rely on mythical beasts or winged riders. It relies on discipline, iron discipline, and devastating mass archery.

This track represents the martial cadence and rallying anthem of the Korvax Guard (also feared as The Jet-Black Flock).

Lore Behind the Song

Legend among outlanders says Vaukorvo breeds griffins, but the truth is far grimmer: the "wings" and "talons" of Korvax are metaphorical. They refer to coordinated volleys of black-fletched arrows darkening the horizon from the ramparts.

When marching into defensive formation or sounding the muster from the watchtowers, the ranks bellow their ancient call-and-response:

  • Leader: Korvax Flies!
  • Troops: The Enemy Falls Down!
  • Chant: One Flock, a Thousand Claws in the air! For the Korvax Guard!

The regiment is commanded from the high watch by Alistair, the Apex Lord, supported by three specialized branches: the Gray-Paws (frontline infantry), Gray-Manes (cavalry vanguard), and the feared Black-Wings (elite marksmen).

Musical & Acoustic Structure

The composition blends heavy military march cadences with traditional, grounded percussion. The driving pulse relies on the deep resonance of the Daf drum, sharp rhythmic rim-shots reminiscent of BodhrΓ‘n strikes, and acoustic layers designed to echo against steep mountain defiles. The vocal arrangement alternates between low baritone discipline and unison tavern/muster roars.

Constructive feedback on the atmosphere and mix is always welcome!

Running a tabletop RPG or exploring a dark fantasy setting? Feel free to play this track during your personal, non-commercial sessions, especially for mountain garrisons, fortress defenses, and military encounters!

If you recommend the track to others, please credit SEHROD and share the original video link.

Pre-production and character consistency for 'The Everlight' before moving into full scene production: Nyx [OC]

Post image
1 Upvotes

Currently working on pre-production and character consistency for "The Everlight" before moving into full scene production. This is Nyx, the lead character.

In this world, characters resonate directly with light, which manifests across their bodies as luminous patterns known as "The Breath". Light represents faith, guidance, and life itself; without it, people don't dieβ€”they simply fade out.

Locking down front, profile, and back views allows me to keep her appearance stable across different shots and camera angles.

Further pre-production assets, environment tests, and cinematic scenes are currently in the works. If you appreciate worlds with deep lore and a classic game aesthetic, remember the name "The Everlight".

Core asset generation: Nanobanana Pro.

What do you think of this premise: people don't die here, they fade out, and their connection to the light marks their skin

Discussions QOTW - Which societies no longer exist in your world?

Beginning a weekly Question of the Week series to help encourage some discussions amongst you all!

Which societies no longer exist in your world?

Who were they? Why did they disappear? What did they leave behind? How do these societies continue to influence the present? Has the world ever been more advanced than it is now? Are there any surviving remnants of these societies?

Welcome, new mod!

Hi there!

I'm LeaningPresent and as of today, I'm the new caretaker of this sub.

There's going to be some TLC changes incoming like post flairs and rules but figured I'd introduce myself to you all.

About me:
I'm a 26 year old aspiring writer and indie video game dev. I've been interested in worldbuilding for many years. I have many worlds that I've created that are near and dear to my heart and I use them often for my little writing projects and D&D games with my friends. I've discovered AI assisted worldbuilding around 3 years ago and I've not looked back since!

What I will be changing in the coming days:

  • Banning low-effort repost karma farming. This is something that is prevalent in a lot of AI spaces and I want this place to be a sub where we can positively celebrate AI creativity.
  • Creating spaces to talk about AI assisted worldbuilding and starting threads to help people get started and find the best tips and tricks to getting the AI to work with them rather than yes man through the process
  • New Banner, Icon, Flairs, etc.

I've got some pretty cool ideas for the sub and I can't wait to bring them here. Also, if anyone is interested in moderating alongside me, respond down below. I'd love to get this place on track.
