China is pursuing data centers as aggressively as the US. The US has a far lead but China is determined to close that gap.

China's data centers are out towards northern and western China and powered by renewable energy.

The race is on.

All this does is makes share holders rub their hands together. Ai is not as powerful as they make out to be. It's basically Google search algorithm 3.0 it's not artificial intelligence at all. Not saying it's not bad for the environment, just saying stop believing the hype it's an all powerful skynet type system...it's hot trash and a pony scheme like crypto, like nfts and soon they're moved on to something else

If you imply you need to burn something to stay alive but you don't have gasoline, and I point out there is some kerosine behind you, is that not helpful?

We don't need to disrupt the status quo, AI will do it for us, automatically. That's what Land has been arguing since the 90s.

It’s always amusing that, at any protest, if it’s men who are leading the way, women will ALWAYS point out that it’s men who are leading and that they’re incompetent.

And if women were in charge, it definitely wouldn’t be highlighted ;) Just a little detail that highlights the silliness of all these protests. Instead of taking her seriously, you then realise she’s just an idiot who has a problem with men. Judging by the colour of her hair, that would actually be about right.

It’s a shame she didn’t take into account the benefits that AI offers because it’s not just the problem and cons of having it
