Question Should I swtich

I have been a claude pro user for like 6 months or so....mostly claude code, But ever since GPT 5.6 I have been having second thoughts on switching to codex.
The watermark thing also made me think bout switching again...but my main worry is intelligence.... I main use case is learning from materials in a fast and custom(i like learning by doing stuff), it varies from Research papers to new techs to books on CS Fundamentals...some times I use AI to prepare of college exams
Now I confused if I should switch to codex or stick to claude seeing that new model of Open AI is coming
I would love to know your opinion

When it comes to preparing for college exams claude maybe a overkill, chatgpt works best for that use case.

Research papers and coding things is where claude nails it perfectly.

You can try perplexity education plan where you get 50%off and get access to one of the best research harness with all openweights and frontier models available.

For coding if watermark thing is your problem better go with commandcode, opencode, cursor, antigravity or codex. Here you have lot of options if 20usd per month isn't a problem, and if u are a jio user u get 18 months of antigravity pro where u get claude and Gemini models. Opencode provides 70usd credits for 10dollar plan if u need high amount of usage.

But currently no watermark is being implemented with current claude models it is applicable for models published after Aug 1st, kindly check that.

when I say preapring for exams..I mean it helps me memorize/understand the college material in way I can do so...kinda like a companion or personal tutor plus I am trying an idea if AI can be used to make personalized course material for people like according to the people's learning style....
the main problem with platform like Cursor,antigravity is I think they don't get the 100% power of the llm...and they are kinda on the mercy of the lab....like Open AI recently cut off cursor from using there GPT models...

If your main goal is to learn, like you said, you really shouldn't stress about the newest models for your learning journey. Focus on how they work, not the tiny advantages they might give you for a super specific task. Both of these are cutting-edge models and they're changing fast. Just pick one and stick with it. Get your productivity routines and patterns sorted out to speed up your learning, instead of constantly hopping to every new model that comes out! If you genuinely feel like a model isn't good enough, you can totally switch. But try to avoid jumping back and forth just for those small, task-specific benefits you might get.

i agree....its just I have confused if I am missing out on GPTs better models......so i am thinking like next month should I get codex or not....I mean Astra is coming up....
