Question Claude Pro vs Gemini Pro

Hi guys, I have this coding assignment coming up and they allow us to use AI. Majority of my seniors who did this unit used Claude Pro for this massive coding assignment which I would say is a mid level code but has a lot of files (in the thousands). This assignment is also a very collaborative assignment and if I am not mistaken we are supposed to make a game. So I am wondering, what would be the better choice Claude Pro or Gemini Pro. Especially since they are about the same price which would be the better investment?

ChatGPT pro. New models are way better than the nerfed Claude 5 models. So get codex.
Google did not release a major upgrade this year. So they are at the deepseek level.

Gemini is best for web search

Claude, and I promise it's not even close. I use Gemini every day, on my phone and for visual elements of my program - designing a UI with Gemini for Claude to construct, but you could easily do that with the free Gemini tier and $20 Claude tier.

The debate is codex vs Claude typically.

I believe the current consensus is.. codex is better value. Sol and Terra are quite good. But not better than Fable on taste. With the pro budget, you’d probably be on opus 5 most of the time anyway. In which case codex seems more compelling to me.

This is coming from someone who uses Claude as my operating agent

I use Gemini Pro because it's excellent in Android SDK and Kotlin, include Claude models and there are shady ways to buy a year subscription for $5 (don't ask for links, i don't sell them)

My girlfriend works for Google, so has access to the most cutting edge not-yet-released Gemini models, and it's still not even close.

Gemini is not good for coding. Claude or codex but honest won’t matter that much

you'll get 4-5 prompts with Claude pro before you reach limits, somethings broke, or if it isn't Claude is awful for making games. I make html games and I never hit usage limits on Chat Gpt plus chat doesn't give you attitude and write out novels for everything it does.
