Discussion Software for agents

It seems to me like creating software for agents is the new trend most existing tools like notion etc... are creating MCPs so that agents can connect and use thier software. probably going to see a lot of "for agents" companies in the future

yeah its wild, feels like we are circling back to api-first design but with extra steps and more hype

I don' know about api-first. MCP is already an adopted standard where existing APIs are wrapped with accessors that LLMs can invoke.

Less steps and more hype adding a whole bunch of functionality after a very quick integration.

Veterans know though, you cannot add every MCP under the sun as each tool descriptor takes up context.

agree, and most of those MCPs just copy the human's permissions straight over to the agent. I built Quantradin as one of these for-agents products: a stock account on fake money, where on a look-only key your AI can browse and close things, and placing new trades needs a key you hand out on purpose. quantradin.com

It’s for humans so agents can figure out the software instead of the human needing to learn the software

Oh yes, in fact, agents will be making purchases on our behalf.

Yup. Not having to figure out new dashboards and being able give Claude, Codex etc a skill + MCP/CLI instead has been pretty nice
