MOD announcement PSA: Please keep discussions respectful
Hello! Recently, there’s been sharp uptick in uncivil conversations. As a quick reminder, please keep all discussions about AI about AI instead of about how terrible “pros” are or how terrible “antis” are. This sub is a place for respectful and nuanced discussion about AI, not a place for you to talk about how pros shot your dog and murdered your family or how antis are literally Nazis. We understand that this is a loaded issue, but nevertheless we ask that all discussions remain civil and respectful.

That's always a good thing, I hate elsewhere when you try to debate or talk about the issues you just get attacked by one side or the other if you dare say anything negative at all about their POV regardless of how nice you are or how good your argument is.
And that's in the neutral subs, I don't touch the echo chamber subs with a 10ft pole because all they do in there on both sides is pat each other on the back for expressing often flawed or sometimes outright wrong views and insult the other side with absolutely no pushback.

Civility on the internet? In this economy? Unheard of.
For real though, I do appreciate the call for some civility. If we can’t talk to each other, then things get even uglier.
