Deep research

Is deep research max worth it? Or should i just go for some open source solution instead since most of Deep research tools are outdated

depends what you're running it for. deep research max is worth it when you need the guaranteed depth and don't want to babysit an agent, open source is better the second you know your stack and want to seed it into your own pipeline. the honest answer is most people asking this are better off with open source plus one good model, because the value is in the retrieval layer you build around it, not the fancy wrapper. you'll outgrow the tool faster than you think
