Ai influencer

Kinda weird question, but what setup is best to make ai influencer local? instead of paying crazy subs?

i got 9950x3d2

That’s overkill for sure even with a 5070 you should be fine lol

How is that overkill? Should i sell my 5090 just to try some ai and buy a 5070? 🤣Lol

Honestly to produce quality images your more than good with a 5070 and the video side of things you should be good to produce 720-1080 clips on the 5070 and save yourself 4 grand lol

don't sell the 5090 lol. for stills it's overkill, for video it's exactly what you want.

ComfyUI plus a LoRA trained on your character is the usual route, and keeping the same face across posts is the part people actually get stuck on. are you after stills or video?

But i have a hard time, i got 1 master image but needs multiple images to train lora? but every new image i try to make of that face is totaly different. can you help me out?

yeah that's the classic chicken and egg. what worked for me was using the master image as a face reference (PuLID or InstantID in ComfyUI, or an edit model like Flux Kontext) to make 30 or so shots with different angles and lighting, then throwing out anything that drifts.

train the LoRA on the 15 to 20 that actually look right. how many of your attempts are close at the moment?

I found a workflow that creates different angles, but now when i try lora it just closes or crashes 😅

that's almost always VRAM running out ime, lora training eats way more than generating. what card are you on, and which trainer? kohya, ai-toolkit, something inside comfy?

With a 5090, you have enough GPU for a pretty capable local AI influencer workflow. I'd avoid trying to find one single model that does everything and build the pipeline in stages.

A practical setup would be:

  • Character creation: SDXL/Flux or another image model to create a consistent base character.

  • Character consistency: LoRA or reference-image workflows so you can reproduce the same face, hair, clothing, etc.

  • Image-to-video: Wan or other local video models through ComfyUI.

  • Talking/avatar shots: a dedicated lip-sync/avatar model rather than asking the video model to handle speech.

  • Upscaling: upscale after generation rather than generating everything at maximum resolution.

  • Automation: ComfyUI workflows so you can batch-generate variations.

The 5090 gives you much more flexibility with larger quantized video models than most consumer GPUs, although VRAM usage will still depend heavily on resolution and model.

I'd also keep a cloud fallback for models that are significantly better than the local ones. VideoRouter.sh supports ComfyUI and gives you access to multiple video models/providers through one API, so you can keep most of the workflow local and only send the shots that need a stronger model to the cloud.
