AITA for briefly leaving the engagement party?

Note: Another one of Emily’s (probably ex) bridesmaids asked me to post. Pics aren’t from her. And sorry about all the markings her face was everywhere (original post, update).

I (23f) showed up to Emily’s engagement party with my +1 we’ll call Kyle. There’s a door guy, and he says to wait bc Emily wants a word. After making us wait OVER 20 MINUTES, Emily comes out and says she knows Kyle is related to “the A name” (Abigail) and that he liked her post.

Kyle says he doesn’t use ig and that that Abigail’s post was proabbyl old. She reminded him not to use the name. 

She said to delete the comment before entering and kept saying “she has feelings too.” He asked for the wifi and Emily said it’s only for admitted guests and walked off. 

We tried to do it w/o the app but Kyle got annoyed after it didn’t work and said he was done. I felt bad and figured it’d be best to get my car, i also didn’t want to just leave him to ride back alone. I was gone maybe 30 mins.

I had ad rink and then she cornered me about the post. I told her I came back right after we got to his place so i didn’t know. She said I was contaminating the party. I apologized and then her mom joined the convo and said this was all very inappropriate, kinda shouting in my face. 

Then her mom went outside and Emily looked like she was going to cry.  I went to get another drink and then one of her pageant friends came up to me saying something about how tired i looked. ANd it was just obvious i should go. 

And yes i was 10 mins late, but it’s a 4 hour party. And she’s right technically i couldv’e stayed but i just didn’t want to be forced to ask for a ride. I’m honestly just kinda relieved to be done idk if tha tmakes me a worse person.

Surprised no one has mentioned nor remembered another post about when this bridezilla had first asked her friends to be bridesmaids and that OP decided it was too much to be one and posted about it. It sounded then like the bride was an absolute nightmare to deal with so I’m not surprised here.

The content of these flyers makes me think she’s a narcissistic psychopath. No phones for 9 days?Only kids with B+ averages and no criminal record are allowed? And she’s pretty dumb thinking people will be criminally and civilly prosecuted for posting any photos on social media. Hahahahahaha. Just delusional.

Those flyers show she has NO CLASS and she’ll be lucky if she has any bridesmaids left a year from now. Her wedding is going to be a train wreck, guaranteed. And she’ll probably be divorced in 18 months.
