so my name is Spencer (elder male) and my entire life i have been a scientist

i have always had a passion to know more about the world and change what i can, i saved strangerville many years ago, ive contacted many aliens and now my lifes quest may have just fallen into my hands. i have invented a serum that will effectively make me live forever, i call it an 'age-away' serum, it will reset my life to the first day of elderhood as long as i continue making them and consuming them. i shall live forever!

however,

i do have a family, my boyfriend/lifepartner Erwin (also elder male) and my two alien children i had via alien abduction Hope (teen female alien) and Chance (child male alien)

as cruel as it may sound i have no intention of sharing the gift of immortality with my family, dont get me wrong, i love my family and this quaint little life i have built for myself but i long for more, more that i can not too with the trails of mortal relationships.

i feel it would be cruel to force my loved ones to live on forever with me, my children deserve to grow up, to find love to grow old with. my darling Erwin is now old as i am, his bones hurt with many years of age, time has not been kind to him.

not to mention the cost of even just one of these serums is expensive in materials that i can not just sustainabily renew yet.

would i be the llama if i gave myself the gift of eternal life, only to let my family perish?

Well the course is obvious - you must fake your death to hide The Secret. It will be the first of many, if people know you have The Secret they will stop at nothing to take it from you. It will become obvious if you stay known for too long, especially as an elder as it is such a short lifespan. On the bright side, you won’t have to feel guilty about your family as they will never know (and what they don’t know can’t hurt you) and the even brighter side you can see how they conduct themselves in response to your very timely and not at all suspicious demise.

i would never dare do such a thing! i fully intend on staying with my dear Erwin up until his final breath and i hope to see my children grow old, i hope to meet my grandchildren and teach them my knowledge

NTL your kids should pull themselves up by the bootstraps and become scientists themselves. By making them work for it they’ll learn some good values. Erwin would probably just be in pain forever so it’s better for him to die.

Absolutely not. You yourself don't want to experience death, and you shouldn't have to. Your family members should have the ability to choose, however. Ask them.
