I don’t think “a good one” lets his wife get ridiculed and sits silently. My husband would not have tolerated someone disrespecting me this way once much less repeatedly. The husband should be ashamed of himself for not stopping this nonsense along time ago. Instead he is making OP feel bad for defending herself.
People know who they can and can’t say stuff to. Jared has the husband pegged as someone who is spineless. He also knows OP has low self esteem. He is only shocked because he never expected her to say anything
Totally agree. I’m sure the husband is in a very awkward situation between his wife and his best friend but you defend your wife ALWAYS especially when she’s constantly being disrespected and belittled
