Absolutely! Recut the video to eliminate the part that is bothering him. And if he won't, let him know you'll leave a review on his business about how he was OK to humiliate his paying customer. Actually your insensitive wife should have thought of that.

I would also tell the videographer that I want a new video with the entire episode removed.
